Meet Dr. Wang

Dr. Kevin C. Wang, MD

(Founder & Board Certified Family Physician)

Having practiced in both traditional fee-for-service and direct primary care models, I have come to realize the paramount importance of a trusting doctor-patient relationship. This is the foundation to the best health outcomes for patients. I love to teach and talk to patients about their health, to help them understand the “why”, and to educate patients to make informed and shared decisions. A family physician should also serve as a “tour guide” for patients and help them navigate through the complex intricacies of our healthcare system. The DPC model allows for the time, attention, and access required for a personalized care for everyone. I believe that it enables family physicians to practice at the top of their training, no longer limited by the overwhelming patient load, insurance billing, and the pressure to refer to specialists for simple issues.

I completed my family medicine residency at Louisiana State University, Shreveport, and served as chief resident during my last year there.

My special clinical interests are in the topics of men’s health, skin procedures, diabetes and weight management, among cardiovascular and mental health. I believe in early screening and prevention beyond the current standard. If we can predict it, we can prevent it.

Outside of medicine, I enjoy spending time with my family, wood working, playing soccer and participate in various community activities.
